The Macquarie Park Ryde Business Chamber (MPRBC) is a member-based, not-for-profit organisation primarily funded through membership fees and generous donations from our partner organisations. We are apolitical but work with all levels of government to achieve the objectives of our members. We are run by a dedicated committee of volunteer representatives from within our membership, under our constitution.
MPRBC has a history of advocacy, economic development and community engagement across the City of Ryde and beyond as part of the Chamber of Commerce movement - a movement that goes as far back as 1599! In our contemporary history, we have undergone a few iterations and amalgamations, with a consistent mission to represent local businesses.
We are strategically aligned with the previous and current Economic Development Strategy of the City of Ryde, through our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Council, and we have strong ties with many other local organisations, charities and businesses, including an MOU with Macquarie Park Innovation District (MPID), and another MOU with Macquarie University Incubator, both reinforcing our shared objectives of helping the City of Ryde and Macquarie Park to be recognised globally as a hotbed of innovation.
